Fusion Finish | Dallas | Reviews
The Fusion Finish process developed by Fusion Finish in Dallas. Has been a constant staple in the bathtub refinishing Industry. While other bathtub refinishing companies were happy with the painted bathtub look. Fusion Finish was busy at work developing agents that would bond on a molecular level. John, the owner of Fusion Finish set out to find a molecular bonding agent that would create a chemical weld between the old surface and new surface. Each time Fusion Finish met a challenge the coating would go through a vigorous review which included using a rotary sander with 120 grit sand paper and a 10 minute bombardment with a weed eater to review how long the coating would hold up. After several years of testing Fusion Finish developed Fusion Lock. Fusion lock is a bonding agent that actually bonds on a molecular level. Combined with old school techniques of etching the old surface to remove the glaze and pits the old surface with microscopic scratches. Fusion Finish then uses a synthetic porcelain finish coat to melt into the pores exposed by etching. After each coat is applied by fusion finish the coating is reviewed, then another layer is applied after that the new coating is reviewed to make sure each layer melts into the one before until 9 layers are completed.
